TOP INTERIOR DESIGN TRENDS OF 2025

A new year means new design details, and some that are still going strong. In 2025, interior design trends are all about comfort, sustainability, and a touch of boldness. Read on to learn more about what you’ll see as this year’s top trends for your home.

1. BOLD COLORS AND PATTERNS

After years of designing neutral palettes, designers are welcoming the use of bold colors and patterns. Statement fabrics will be big in 2025. While neutral tones still remain a staple in luxury interiors, they are being complimented with bold accent colors like deep burgundy, emerald green, navy, and dark plum. Rich jewel tones, vibrant prints, and graphic wallpapers will be used to create focal points and add personality to spaces.

Over the past few years, neutral palettes have dominated the interiors of homes with light walls, soft accent colors and neutral wood tones. Coming into 2025 we are seeing richer wood tones and deeper browns, grays, plums and burgundy creating a moody and masculine feel. Designers are being asked to create more cozy, immersive spaces with deep moody hues, setting the tone for a sense of intimacy and  comfort.

3. CURVES

Curved furniture continues to gain popularity as it adds a sense of comfort and softness to

a space. The trend with curves in interior design is all about embracing organic shapes and fluid lines, moving away from the rigidity of straight lines and sharp angles.

4. TEXTURE

This year you’ll see texture being used everywhere, whether it’s on the fabrics, the walls or the floors. You’ll also see a mix of metals in accents, furniture and decor. As in previous years, we’ll be seeing more wood paneling, plaster finishes, and wallpaper, adding depth and visual interest to our interiors.

Lighting is one of the most essential yet often overlooked elements in interior design. It can dramatically transform the mood, functionality, and aesthetic of a space. Pendant lights, chandeliers, or even minimalist sconces can be focal points, adding personality and style. Selecting a light fixture as a statement piece can be visually striking and will make a bold impact in any space.

6. CASUAL, COMFORTABLE FURNISHINGS

This year we are embracing casually comfortable furniture and focusing on creating relaxed spaces without compromising on style. It’s all about furniture that is as practical and cozy as it is aesthetically pleasing. According to experts, oversized sofas, deep-seated chairs, and rounded edges are key elements of this trend, blending seamlessly with both modern and traditional decor.

7. WELLNESS SPACES

The primary bathroom is becoming a rejuvenating space where you can unwind and retreat to. They are becoming larger in design to accommodate for more storage and vanity space. Including both, a soaking tub and steam shower, is the key for relaxation. Adding a fireplace or a comfortable accent chair also adds an element of comfort and style.

8. SMART HOMES

Technology continues to advance and has become an essential part in how we design our home. Automated lighting, voice-controlled systems, and smart furniture are becoming essential features. Hidden speakers, wireless charging furniture and surfaces, and voice-controlled lighting are just a few examples.

9. MARBLE & STONE

Marble and exotic stones are taking center stage and becoming the focal point of kitchens, bathrooms and living areas. Designers are going bold with veining, unique patterns and bright colors.  2025 will see more countertops, backsplashes, shower walls, bathroom floors, and shelving benefit from these dramatic stone choices.

10. BRINGING THE OUTDOORS IN

Bringing nature indoors is more popular than ever. Biophilic design incorporates natural elements like indoor plants, stone, bamboo, water features and large windows showcasing the outdoors and natural light. It’s a design approach that seeks to connect people with nature and creates a calming environment.  We’ll begin to see more greenery, large windows, and organic shapes in furniture and decor.
