SMALL SPACES | THE BATHROOM

When it comes to small bathroom design, clever planning – which includes everything from layout, to fitting choices, to smart storage options – is key to ensuring that even a tiny bathroom can still feel spacious.

 

Opt for glass shower doors

Skip the foggy glass or dark curtain, and opt for glass doors. It’ll make the shower feel like livable square footage.

Mirror a wall

Rather than just hanging one above the vanity, consider mirroring a whole wall of your tiny bathroom. The reflection of light and pattern will work the same as a window does and expand the space. If mirroring an entire wall won’t work in your space, you could add multiple mirrors to one wall.

 

Go bold with color and patterns

A small bathroom doesn’t mean small design ideas. Go bold in your perfectly petite bathroom.

Consider a large-scale wall covering or tile. Fight the urge to go with a small pattern in a small bathroom. Large-scale wallpapers and tile patterns can make a space feel larger.⁣

 

Light color | Dark color

Light colors are a sure way to keep the space bright and airy with an open feeling. Small bathrooms are also a great space to go bold with painting it a dark color (typically windowless rooms). It gives depth and creates an illusion of a larger space. Either light or dark, select a color tone and commit.
